CCA Architecture Fall 2007 Lecture Series
Poster for California College of the Arts Architecture Program
The working these of the fall 2007 lecture series was “resourcefulness.” The series featured architects who make work out of unconventional materials ranging from cardboard to shipping containers and beyond. In the context of architecture, resourcefulness means both thinking nimbly and being conscious of architecture’s impact on the planet. This was transposed into a design vocabulary by making the type out of artificial flowers. Thankfully, it didn’t concern anyone that flowers might work better for a spring lecture series—the big leaf took care of that.
